Get started using CRISPR/Cas9 with our short videos on the technology, including how to make gene knock-outs, knock-ins, and edits.

Without a doubt, the CRISPR/Cas9 system is revolutionizing biology, simplifying the process of making targeted changes to a genome at the level of individual nucleotides. However, while the concept is straightforward, getting efficient, reliable results from CRISPR/Cas9 technology can be challenging if you don’t understand the subtleties of the system.

To help scientists new to using CRISPR/Cas9, as well as those who would like to improve their genome engineering workflows, SBI has created a set of six CRISPR/Cas9 video tutorials, that range in length from five to ten minutes. In the first video, we introduce the biology of the system, discussing each component and how it works. The second video is dedicated to the different ways you can deliver Cas9 protein, and how to choose a delivery format that works best for your application. Then in Videos 3 – 5 we go over how to knock-out, knock-in, and edit a gene—the steps involved and the importance of using an HR donor. Finally, we wrap up with a video on how to introduce multiple gRNAs using a single vector for more streamlined workflows.

We hope you find these videos useful! If there are other topics you’d like to see a webinar on, be sure to let us know.
